Belongs to a new generation of multifunctional co-surfactants ETHYLENE OXIDE FREE, based on natural active ingredients which thanks to the presence of long chain fatty acids, deriving from Olive oil, such as Oleic, Linoleic, Linolenic acids and Wheat Protein (oligosaccharides) as well as Myristyl Lactate constitute a unique hydrating complex offering a combination of moisture balancing working synergistically to give better bounce to the hair, and smoother, softer feel to the skin. 

DITEROL AL40PF is indicated as co-surfactant in all personal care products that require considerable reduction of skin irritation In addition to mild cleansing, improved viscosity, and foam density.

General Function

Classical primary surfactants have low skin affinity, they present excessive depletion of the lipid by-layers of the skin, superficial disorganization of the horny layer, and denaturation of proteins.

DITEROL AL40PF substantially reduces the adverse effects of primary surfactants and contributes in maintaining the natural equilibrium of skin.


CYTOTOXICITY MTT TEST

Irritation reduction of primary surfactants in presence of DITEROL AL40PF can be tested by Cytotoxicity MTT Test. (Cell survival assay using human keratinocytes in monolayer cultures to assess skin irritation potentials and biocompatibility of personal care products).

The IC50 value (Inhibiting Concentration 50) is the concentration of test compound which induces a 50% decrease of cell growth/survival. It makes possible evaluating the potential irritating effect of the compound.

CONCLUSION: 13% SLES + 2% of DITEROL AL40PF is 6 times less cytotoxic.

Application

Rins-off personal care products, suitable for the soothing care of sun-stressed skin, damaged skin, baby skin, liquid soap, shampoo, bath foam, and intimate hygiene detergents.


Evaluation

  • The multifunctional performance of this co-surfactant is attributed to the long chain fatty acids of olive oil, in combination with wheat proteins and Myristyl Lactate.
  • These Olivoyl fatty acids bonded to wheat proteins in presence of Myristyl Lactate have synergically high affinity with cutaneous secretion (sebum) and cutaneous layers (cheratine). Finished products containing DITEROL AL40PF exhibit good skin moisturizing, softness and gentle cleansing.
  • In hand soaps hydrating properties have been demonstrated to be several times more efficient than with reference products. Hydration of the skin increases immediately to about 40% and hydration values after 6 hours remain significantly high leading in fast restoration of dry and damaged skin.
  • The presence of DITEROL AL40PF in liquid detergents helps the skin to restore its healthy aspect by avoiding the denaturation of proteins and the disorganization of the horny layer.

  • Easy to use and compatible with primary anionic and amphoteric surfactants.
